In July 2013, RNDC acquired the ownership interest of Wisdom Manor, a 30-unit development serving low-income seniors in the Hollygrove neighborhood of New Orleans.  It was newly developed in 2008 in response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina.  

Wisdom Manor features well-designed one-bedroom units, an enclosed exterior courtyard, a common room with a kitchen, and secured parking below the building on the ground floor.

The project is funded though Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) along with  Home Investment Partnership (HOME) funds provided by the City of New Orleans.  It has a project-based Section 8 contract covering 20 of the 30 units so that residents pay only 30% of their monthly income towards the rental amount.
